Day # 2, Part 2

When my parents came home, they wanted to go out to eat so we stopped by Papa's house so he can meet his great grandchildren. Papa and Lolita, his wife, babysit two kids ~ no relation to the family ~ with a bum leg no less!! Anyway, Grant didn't know what to think of his Great Grandpa.

So we finally get to eat, we stop by McD's for the boys (hapa haole boys!) and then we went to a Thai place. There was a little Thai girl about Gannon's age and they ended up talking and looking at the fish tank. We ordered, then all of a sudden, Gannon comes to the table, takes his Big Kid Meal and sits at the table with the girl. I thought, "Hey, at least he's behaving!" I find out during our dinner that the little girl is the daughter of the owner. She told us she's glad Gannon is talking to her. She usually has a hard time talking to other kids ~ I figured because the poor child had to spend all of her time up at the restaurant instead of playing. Anyway, by the end of the meal and we walk out the door after my mom paid, I tell Gannon it's time to go. I joke with the waiter and say, "If he were old enough, he'd probably ask for the digits." Gannon then walks up to me and asks for a piece of paper and tells her our home number. I just power laughed! He's growing up soo fast!

We finally leave the restaurant and decide to go get some bubble tea. Here's the conversation in the car:

Gannon: I wish we could eat there again tomorrow!
Me: Gannon, you didn't eat anything there.
Gannon: Oh,well, can we eat there again tomorrow Grandma?

Laughing in the car

Gannon: So, can we eat there again?
