Yes, it's that time of year here in Texas where it's still 103 degrees and school has started.

This first picture is of Gannon on his first day of school. He chose this out fit all by himself, despite all the new clothes we got him.......at least it matches. : )
Grant had to get in on the act too.

He was really excited - finally! All summer, we talked about him going to a new school - he's been at that location with church and PTA and stuff - and knows the sitters too. About a week ago, Gannon's enthusiasm got to Grant so he was ready to go too! He doesn't start for another week, but we made his lunch the night before and packed it in his new Thomas lunch box. Grant says he's not a baby anymore and that he's a big boy now.
This last picture is of Gannon in the classroom. Since I wasn't there, I told Richard to take

pictures for me and Gannon got tired of the papparazzi (ha, ha, dad joke). Richard just blamed it on me and he put up with the other pictures, I just thought this one was priceless.
When he came home from school today, I found out that he's sitting in between two girls and his good friend, Thomas is on the other side. No homework as of yet and you know Gannon is soo ready!!! He also told me that he LOVES second grade and lunch was too late that he was starving. I guess now he understands that breakfast really is the most important meal of the day.
